The hill train desisted here for an hour while the tourists indulged in a lavish lunch. Enveloped by pine forests, the town delights tourists with refreshing air and soothing views.

Nalagarh Palace

Built in the year 1421, the Nalagarh fort serves as a gateway on a hillock to Himachal Pradesh. The fort overlooks a panoramic sight of the Shivalik hills beyond the Sirsa River. Now the majestic site has been converted into a heritage property. It serves as a resort these days.

It is a famous point for halt enroute to Shimla from Chandigarh. This gorgeous tourist stopover is situated about 19 km from Solan. It has the Apple Cart, which is known to have remained in a Dak Bungalow once. Now it has been converted into a budget luxury hotel.
